Birthday boy Ishaan Khatter is a master of poses and we want to borrow some from him
Ishaan Khatter might only be two films old, but it is safe to say that he is the discovery of this decade. We have been saying this since he reached 'Beyond The Clouds' and made us feel our 'Dhadak'. If you insist, it was especially his quirks, eccentricities and screen presence as Madhu alongside Janhvi Kapoor in the Karan Johar production that made him win hearts and how. That and his potential which shined through in his promising debut with the Majid Majidi film. In fact, just like big brother Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter is on his way to stardom and the very many awards he grabbed this awards season are proof. Also, he is super easy on the eye which makes it even better! (Also Read: Ananya Panday on Khaali Peeli co-star Ishaan Khatter: I had been dying to work with him)
In fact, a little too easy on the eyes when his energy is captured in stills and frames. If you're wondering why we are getting poetic all of a sudden, it is because (a) it is Ishaan Khatter's birthday today and (b) his pictures talk, if you know what we mean? Gotta admit, he is a skilled actor who can't help but pose and hey, he is great at it! Don't believe us? Check out these portraits of the birthday boy and see for yourself.
On the work front, Ishaan Khatter is currently shooting for Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy alongside none other than Tabu. The film is an adaption of Vikram Seth's novel A Suitable Boy. If you're not in the know, it tells the story of a spirited university student Lata (Tanya Aniktala), coming of age in North India in 1951, at the time when the country was going to the polls for its first democratic general elections. Lata embarks on her own journey of love and self-discovery. Connected to her through their siblings' marriage, the wayward Maan Kapoor (Ishaan Khatter) is determined to enjoy life to the fullest, much to his politician father's concern. Maan is infatuated by a courtesan Saaeda Bai (Tabu).
Not just that, he is also coming together with Ananya Panday for the first time in Ali Abbas Zafar's first production Khaali Peeli. Ali, who has delivered money-spinners including vouches for his cast because the Maximum City-centric film is a fresh take on the romantic genre and revolves around young people, and was keen to cast actors who are a big draw with youngsters. Well, this and more because even Raazi actor Jaideep Ahlawat has hopped on board and will be seen playing a desi villain in the movie which will be helmed by Maqbool Khan.
We wish the actor a very merry happy birthday!
