Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt head to Manali for a 15-day Himalayan schedule
Brahmastra is going to release next year and there is a lot of curiosity around the film. It was supposed to come out this December but now it is targetting a mid-2020 release. The logo unveiling at Kumbh Mela created quite a stir. The shoot of the film began in 2018 in Bulgaria where the team was stationed for a month. It was followed by schedules in London, New York, Scotland and Varanasi. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. Ayan Mukerji who has written the script plans to make it a triology.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the team is heading for another schedule of the film. A source told the tabloid, "Ranbir, Alia and the entire cast will fly to Manali in November for a 15-day shoot. Every location carries Shiva's (RK's character) story forward. Manali, too, plays an important role in the screenplay." The team will shoot in the breathtaking locations in the Himalayas. It seems like there are many references to Indian mythology. The source told the publication, "All the locations in India that feature in the story reference the central characters. During the Manali schedule, the story of Shiva's origin and self-discovery will be traced."
Ranbir Kapoor's character emits fire from his palms. He is Shiva while the name of Alia Bhatt's character is Isha. "The first instalment in the trilogy narrates Shiva's discovery of the 'agni' within him," says the source. It was intially titled Dragon. It seems a London-based team is working simultaneously on the VFX of the film.
The makers of the film will announce a release date as the majority of the VFX gets done. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
