Diwali 2019: Arjun Rampal pens a heartfelt note to his late mother on her first death anniversary

Diwali is a time when families from far and wise get together to celebrate the festival with pomp and love. People plan their leaves well in advance from work just so they can be with their near and dear ones during the festival. Gifts are exchanges, new outfits are worn, sweets are gorged on, trips are planned, visits keep happening, and the festivities go long into the night for several days. It's that time of the year that truly spells family-time for Indians like no other occasion.

However, spare a thought for those who've recently lost someone close. Imagine how tough the festival would be for them, and more so if that precious someone passed away on or around the time of Diwali. The festival of lights is bound to bring back some painful memories for them. One such person who's finding it tough to find a semblance of joy while everyone else is living it up this Diwali is Arjun Rampal who lost his mother a year ago to the day. Reminiscing her, the actor penned a heartfelt note on Twitter a couple of hours ago, where he expressed his grief at her absence from his life, but also found hope in the belief that she lived on in the hearts of him and his family.

She was born on Diwali and today is her first anniversary. She is truly an angel. She lives on in me and all the hearts she's touched. This Diwali is extra special to my family and me.
