Movies This Week: Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh, Made in China

 

A lot was expected from Saif Ali Khan starrer Laal Kaptaan which released last Friday. However, the film failed to create any kind of impact. Now, all eyes are upon this big Diwali week. And looking at the films which are lined up for release, it seems we will have a dhamakedaar Diwali. You have Akshay Kumar returning to comedy with Housefull 4, Tapsee Pannu & Bhumi Pednekar playing shooters in Saandh Ki Aankh and Rajkummar Rao playing a Gujarati character in Made In China. Let's take a look at the films in detail

Housefull 4

Director: Farhad Samji

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Chunky Pandey

The fourth installment of the Houseful franchise has a reincarnation twist, spanning 600 years from 1419 to 2019. One thing which will definitely go in its favour is that it is aimed for the entire family. So the chances of it doing good at the box office are definitely very strong. Not to forget the huge cast which includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Chunky Pandey amongst others.

Sandh Ki Aankh

Director: Tushar Hiranandani

Cast: Bhumi Pednekar, Tapsee Pannu, Prakash Jha

Saand Ki Aankh is the directorial debut of Tushar Hiranandani, who was the writer of Masti and ABCD franchisees. The film is about real-life sharpshooters sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar. The won a whopping 352 medals each in their professional lives. It would be great to see how Bhumi Pednekar and Tapsee Pannu (both supreme actors) play the characters and how the inspiring real-life story comes across on screen.

Made In China

Director: Mikhil Musale

Cast: Rajkummar Rao, Mouni Roy, Boman Irani, Sumeet Vyas

If we are not wrong, the last time 'China' was used in a Hindi film's title, the reactions weren't that impressive, to say the least. (Hint: It was an Akshay Kumar starrer). Anyway, this time Made in China seems another inspiring film about determination and dreams. And if there's one reason why this film seems very promising, it is Rajkummar Rao.
