Satte Pe Satta remake: Hrithik Roshan to star opposite Anushka Sharma in the Fasrah Khan directorial - here's what we know
The rumours and speculative theories surrounding the casting of Satte Pe Satta had been at the peak ever since Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty had announced that they were keen on retelling the classic comic caper. Many names including Deepika Padukone had surfaced however, none were confirmed. There were reports of Anushka Sharma being approached for the same but neither of the party addressed the same. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan was approached for the film as well. The latter had denied doing the film and had called it a rumour.
However, as per a report in Hindustan Times, Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma have been finalised for the Satte Pe Satta Remake. Yes, you heard it. It's a refreshing pair, don't you think? We for one would love to see Anushka Sharma and Hrithik Roshan in a film together. And Satte Pe Satta looks like a good opportunity, right?
Earlier while talking to IANS, Farah had opened up about the possibility of the project. She told IANS, "Rohit is producing the film and I am directing it. Unless we come together and make a proper official announcement, everything is speculation. Hopefully, we will make the announcement by Diwali. I am waiting for Rohit, because he is quite occupied these days, finishing the last leg of the shooting of his film Sooryavanshi."
On the other hand, a few months ago Hrithik had spoken about Satte Pe Satta remake and said, "I am a huge fan of Mr Bachchan so whenever I will get a chance to step into his shoes, I'd be super excited. As for Satte Pe Satta remake, those are only reports as of now. When I sign my next film, I will tell the world about it. Until then, everything you hear is only a rumour."
