Throwback Thursday: When birthday girl Keerthy Suresh had a fangirl moment with Thalapathy Vijay

Actress Keerthy Suresh, who is known for her work in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema has turns 27 today. The young actress has impressed everyone with her acting skills and versatility and has featured with all biggies from South including Thalapathy Vijay, Sivakarthikeyan, Dulquer Salmaan, Dhanush, Chiyaan Vikram, Mohanlal, Ram Pothineni, Vishal and many others. She is the latest recipient of the National Film Award for Best Actress for her extraordinary performance in Mahanati, which was based on the life of actress Savitri Ganesan. While we are raving about the birthday girl, we have dug out a throwback picture of the actress from the sets of Bairavaa, where she is having a fangirl moment with the megastar Thalapathy Vijay and her smile just reflects Keerthy's happiness in the picture.

Interestingly, Keerthy Suresh again collaborated with Thalapathy Vijay for Sarkar, which was a box office blockbuster. If you are a Keerthy Suresh fan, you must be jumping with joy as the actress is making her Bollywood debut along side Ajay Devgn in Maidaan. It is currently in filming stage and the makers have already wrapped up the first and second schedules of the film, which were in Mumbai. They will kickstart the third schedule in Kolkata from November 3. Ajay is playing the role of Syed Abdul Rahim, who was the coach and manager of the Indian national football team from 1951 to 1963. It was under his guidance that India won the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962.

Talking about the film, producer Boney Kapoor had earlier said, "I was amazed that not many are aware of someone as significant as Syed Abdul Rahim. He's an unsung hero whose achievements must be saluted. His team had heroes like Chunni Goswami, PK Banerjee, Balaram, Franco and Arun Ghosh. It takes someone like Ajay Devgn to play Syed Abdul Rahim. With him on board, I can just hope that our film inspires youngsters to play football, and India soon to bring the World Cup home."

Maidaan is presented by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. Directed by Amit RavinderNath Sharma of the National award-winning 'Badhai Ho' fame, it is produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively.
