Tuesday Trivia: Here's how birthday girl Parineeti Chopra got her name
It's Parineeti Chopra's birthday today! One of the chirpiest actresses of Bollywood, Parineeti turns 31. Not only is she hard-working but also earnest and full of lively spirit. Her cheerful nature is the reason why she can quickly make friends. But do you know how she got her name? Well, there's a great story behind it.
We all know that in India, our elders name us. There may or may not be a specific idea behind naming one's child. But mostly, parents opt for the letter that is suitable according to our 'Janam Patri'. But that's not the case when it comes to actress Parineeti. There is a unique and filmy story attached to the naming of the actress. Parineeti's parents, when expecting her, had watched Prakash Jha's directorial Parinati in 1989. Parinati featured Nandita Das, Basant Josalkar, Surekha Sikri and Sudhir Kulkarni, to name a few. The title translates to The Inevitable. Parinati was based on a folk tale from Rajasthan.
They loved the film so much that they decided to alter it a bit and that's how Parineeti got her name!
Meanwhile, the actress was recently seen in Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra. The movie was a dud at the box office. It was their second collaboration. Right now, Parineeti has an impressive line-up. The actress will be seen collaborating with Arjun Kapoor for the third time with Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Parineeti will also be seen in an ensemble cast social drama Bhuj: The Pride of India. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Ammy Virk, Himanshu Dubgotra, Vicky Pujari, Ravinder Pawar, Pranitha Subhash, Jigar Garva, Aman Verma among others. Parineeti recently wrapped up The Girl On The Train's Bollywood adaptation. She is also training for the Saina Nehwal biopic.
