BL Predicts: Vidyut Jammwal's Commando 3 to take a lead over the other Bollywood releases

Bollywood disappointed us with its last week's Pagalpanti, which ultimately failed to create any magic at the box office. This week, we have not one, or two, but three releases Commando 3, Hotel Mumbai and Yeh Saali Aashiqui. Among them, Vidyut Jammwal's Commando will definitely take a better opening at the ticket windows while the other two will be completely dependent on word-of-mouth from the audience. So, let's check out how these ventures will open at the box office this Friday.

Starting with Commando 3, the lead actor of the film, Vidyut Jammwal, enjoys a decent fan-following among the masses, though we have not seen his films turning out to be money-spinner at the domestic market. However, due to moderate landing costs, his ventures have managed to not be out-an-out losses to their makers. Even the last installment of the Commando franchise may not have been a hit, but because of its low investment, it somehow managed to enter the profit zone. The hype and buzz around Commando 3 is quite average and we are expecting it to open around Rs 3.50 to 4.50 crore nett on its first day at the box office. Nevertheless, if the film achieves these numbers, it will be offer some hope for the Vidyut Jammwal starrer going forward.

Since there is no big competition for the film, we expect Commando 3 to dominate at the ticket windows, provided the word-of-mouth is positive. Directed by Aditya Datt, it is bankrolled by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital. The film also stars Adah Sharma and Gulshan Devaiah and Angira Dhar in key roles.

Coming to the other two releases, Dev Patel and Anupam Kher's Hotel Mumbai and Vardhan Puri's Yeh Saali Aashiqui, both films have no buzz. In fact, people are hardly aware about Vardhan Puri's debut film. Hotel Mumbai might have an upper hand over Yeh Saali Aashiqui as positive reviews are coming in for the film. While Anthony Maras' human tragedy might collect a crore to two on its first day, Yeh Saali Aashiqui will struggle to find its way at the cinema halls.
