Despite the release of Marjaavaan, Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala continues its splendid run at the box office

Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala remained unaffected by the release of Marjaavaan and Motichoor Chaknachoor as the comedy-drama raked in good numbers on its second Friday at the ticket windows. The film collected Rs 3.76 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 76 crore. The film will again witness a good jump today and tomorrow and will cross the Rs 85 crore mark by the end of its second weekend.

Bala has already turned out to be a hit at the box office and it is the seventh consecutive film of Ayushmann Khurrana to taste success at the ticket windows after Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15 and Dream Girl.

The film has garnered rave reviews across the country. Our critic, Susri Sahu gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, "Watch it for another delectable performance by Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. You'll have lots to laugh at and with. And some to ponder about too." She also praised Ayushmann's performance and wrote, "The actor has picked the nerve of a small townie well and moulded his style to suit the script. The best part is that he is surrounded by a crackling ensemble cast of Javed Jaaferi, Seema Pahwa, Saurabh Shukla and Abhishek Banerjee, who create a synergy that's hard to miss."
