John Abraham's THIS action flick to lock horns with Ajay Devgn-Sanjay Dutt's Bhuj: The Pride of India at the box office

In the last few years, we have seen John Abraham booking the Independence Day weekend slot for its films and it has worked quite well for him. After Satyameva Jayate (2018) and Batla House (2019), the Pagalpanti actor has now reserved the Independence Day weekend 2020 for his upcoming action-thriller. The actor revealed this while having an interview with Mumbai Mirror, where he said, "It's Attack, which rolls on January 4 and opens on August 14. I've come to believe that the day belongs to me, not just because it's a national holiday but also for the feelings it brings forth. Attack is an apt Independence Day release, patriotic without being jingoistic. It will be directed by Lakshya Anand, who assisted Kabir Khan on New York and Ek Tha Tiger, and Siddharth Anand on Bang Bang."

While John Abraham's fans might be more than excited to watch him in the action avatar on the silver screen with Attack, the film will face an obstacle as Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt's Bhuj: The Pride Of India is hitting the screens on the same date (August 14, 2020). Talking about this venture, it is based on a true event during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Ajay Devgn essays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in-charge of the Bhuj Airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt plays the character of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who helped the army during the war. It is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and also features Sonakshi Sinha and Rana Daggubati in key roles.
