Shraddha Kapoor: The underrated box-office champ of the millennial generation

There are those actors who arrive with a bang at the box-office and everyone knows about it from day one. There are those who take time to find their footing at the box-office, but everybody from industry insiders to trade analysts to even the audience know that it's only a matter of time before they consistently make their presence felt, and also root for them to set the cash registers ringing. And then there are those actors who also arrive with a bang at the box-office, but do so with so less fuss and make it seem like such an easy task that not many take notice of how they've built a superhit body of work in no time. Of course, the image created by the media and bias of some influential critics in judging their films also goes a long way in them being silent hit-makers.

On that note, Shraddha Kapoor has got to be top the list of actors (male or female) who've been giving big hits in the millennial generation sans any brouhaha either from the media or the audience or her own coterie the first section choosing not to make a noise about it, the last one being above tom-toming her achievements and the middle faction remaining largely unaware on account of the decisions of the other two. But the proof is there in broad daylight for all to witness. In 2019 itself, Shraddha has been the only female star to have delivered two back-to-back blockbusters and 150 cr+ grossers with Chhichhore and Saaho (Hindi version), and that's after having amassed hit after hit since her debut.
