Vijay Sethupathi's Sanga Tamizhan getting postponed

Vijay Sethupathi's highly anticipated masala entertainer, Sanga Tamizhan, was earlier slated to release on October 25 alongside Bigil and Kaithi, but was later pushed to November 15. The makers have now again postponed the film due to financial issues and we're all waiting for the new release date. This news has certainly disappointed all Makkal Selvan fans.

Thalaivar Rajinikanth recently started dubbing for his upcoming actioner, Darbar, with pictures of the megastar at the studio surfacing on social media. His inimitable swag was a treat for his admirers. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Nayanthara and Prateik Babbar in key roles.

Karthi's Kaithi enters the Rs 100-crore club globally

Karthi's action-thriller, Kaithi, which clashed with Bigil during the festive weekend of Diwali, has entered the 100-crore club at the global box office. Made on a small budget of Rs. 20 crore; Kaithi has emerged a blockbuster at the ticket windows.

Thala Ajith's blockbuster, Viswasam, which shattered many records at the ticket windows, also managed to become the most trended hashtag on Twitter as #Viswasam grabbed the top spot in the list of Twitter's 'influential moments in 2019'. It beat #CWC19 and #LokSabhaElections2019 to achieve this feat. In fact, no Bollywood film was featured in top 5 of this list.

After a lot of anticipation and buzz, the first look of Suriya's Soorarai Pottru was launched last week. Based on the life of Air Deccan founder, Captain GR Gopinath, we saw the lead star taking a leap with his role. The film also features Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Karunas, Mohan Babu and Paresh Rawal in key roles, and is directed by Saala Khadoos helmer, Sudha Kongara.
