2019 Recap: Rakul Preet Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi and other celebs who entered the Rs. 100 crore club and our hearts

2019 is inching closer to the end. Can you believe that we will soon enter 2020? Oh god, what's with the time? It's moving way to fast, don't you think? Anyway, this year was stupendous as far as Bollywood films are concerned. Some brilliant stories unfolded on the silver screen this year with period drama, relationship drama, action thriller, family drama to list a few. Be it Vicky Kaushal's URI: The Surgical Strike, Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy, Akshay Kumar's Kesari, Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh, Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 and Ayushmann Khuarrana's Dream Girl to name a few.

Well, with new projects we also saw some new and some old talents becoming a part of films that achieved numerous milestones at the box office. So, here we are with the list of celebs who entered the Rs. 100 crore club for the first time.

Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh starred alongside Ajay Devgn and Tabu in De De Pyaar De, which released on May 16, 2019. It follows the story of a divorced middle-aged man who falls in love with a girl half his age. The film minted Rs. 103 crore at the domestic box office.

Vaani Kapoor

Even though it was a cameo in War, the actress' sizzling hot chemistry with Hrithik Roshan set enough tongues wagging. It was Vaani's first Rs. 100 crore film. The Ghungroo song became a chartbuster and War still remains to be the highest-grossing film the year.

Vidya Balan

One of the brilliant actresses and natural beauty, Vidya Balan has always charmed us with her unconventional roles. This time she won hearts as Tara Shinde in Mission Mangal. Despite having worked for 14 years, this was Vidya's first Rs. 100 crore film. Mission Mangal earned Rs. 202 crores at the box office.

Nithya Menen

Nithya made her Bollywood debut with this and it turned out to be such a huge hit. Nithya's realistic acting chops as Varsha Pillai won hearts. Definitely one to remember. Mission Mangal earned Rs. 202 crores at the box office.

Mrunal Thakur

Television actress Mrunal Thakur bagged the role of Supriya opposite Hrithik Roshan's Anand. Super 30, inspired and based on real-life mathematician, Anand Kumar, was a surprise by Hrithik. It was a super hit and earned around Rs. 147 crores at the domestic box office.

Siddhant Chaturvedi

Gully Boy was a humungous hit at the box office. The songs from the film are still a hit and a rage. Siddhant Chaturvedi as MC Sher won several hearts with his performance. He has a bucket of films lined up.
