2019 Recap: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor – 6 Bollywood celebs who didn’t have a single release this year

Ayushmann Khurrana, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Hrithik Roshan and many other Bollywood celebrities gave their career-best performances this year. With Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky emerged as a bankable actor for filmmakers and so did Ayushmann Khurrana with his jaw-dropping performances in Bala and Dream Girl. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan, the Greek God of B-town, left us mesmerized with his acting chops in Super 30 and WAR. As far as Shahid Kapoor is concerned, the actor gave his career-best performance with Kabir Singh, which also became one of the highest grossers of this year. While these actors kept us entertained throughout the year, we missed Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Anushka Sharma on the silver screen. The celebrities, we mentioned, did not have any releases in 2019 but some of them are ready to bounce back in the coming year (2020).

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which was Sanjay Dutt's biopic. The Kapoor lad won everyone's heart with his fine acting skills and he did bag a few awards at various ceremonies. After the success of Sanju, RK began working on Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which isn't completed yet. Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that Brahmastra will be releasing in Summer 2020. And we cannot wait for Ranbir to create magic on the screen all over again.

Deepika Padukone

Last seen in Padmaavat (2018), Deepika is ready to enthral us with Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak and Kabir Khan's '83 in 2020. While Chhapaak will release on January 10, the Kabir Khan directorial is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 10.

Shah Rukh Khan

After the debacle of his 2018 Christmas release (Zero), Shah Rukh Khan hasn't made an announcement about his new project. It is being said that he may collaborate with filmmaker Atlee for a film but there's no clarity as of now.

Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan made her big Bollywood debut with Kedarnath, in which she starred opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Her debut film was successful, and she continued her winning streak with Simmba, which released days after Kedarnath. In 2019, Sara was missing from the big screen but she intends to entertain us with her acts in Coolie No. 1 and Aaj Kal next year.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor came and conquered everyone's hearts with Dhadak. Needless to add, she did not have a single release in 2019. But in 2020, she has two significant films up for release Roohi Afza and The Kargil Girl.

Anushka Sharma

Like Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma hasn't signed a new project after the debacle of Zero. However, word is that the actress is about to sign a movie, which will show her in a different light.
