After Race 3 and Bharat, Dabangg 3 set to become Salman Khan's 15th consecutive film to enter the Rs 100 crore club
The megastar of Bollywood, Salman Khan is known as the undisputed champion of the box office for a reason. Even his unsuccessful films cross Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic market, which doesn't happen with any other stars. Talking about his latest release Dabangg 3, the film has crossed Rs 90 crore mark and will hit the century today at the box office. The masala entertainer will become Salman Khan's fifteenth consecutive film to achieve this feat after Dabangg, Ready, Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Jai Ho, Tubelight, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3, Bharat, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Well, we have hardly seen some actor enjoying this kind of phenomenal phase at the box office.
Interestingly, Salman Khan has also done the scriptwriting about the film. Talking about the writing process of Dabangg 3 told, Salman Khan told us, "It just happened. We were talking that we should make Dabangg 3 and we were wondering what could Dabangg 3 be about and then we though that we should start it from the beginning and everything started falling into place. Just the fact we thought about this started everything and then we explored how he (his character) became Chulbul Pandey. This idea also just came about. So then, Arbaaz and I watched the film (the previous two parts) again and we started brainstorming ideas and it was through this brainstorming session that we got our story. Then we added action and songs as they were needed because everything else already came to us."
Directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Salma Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi, the film also features Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Kichcha Sudeepa in key roles.
