Ajay Devgn reveals that the Luv Ranjan film co-starring Ranbir Kapoor is delayed NOT shelved

A couple of months ago, Luv Ranjan had announced that he would be collaborating with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor for an action thriller movie. It was also said that Ranbir would be seen collaborating with ex-flame Deepika Padukone for the same. A few days later reports of Deepika walking out of the project surfaced. Later, reports went on to suggest that the film was shelved altogether. Recently, Luv announced that he is working on a project that will see Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor collaborating for the first time.

Now as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the project which starred Ranbir Kapoor-Ajay Devgn is still on. Now, Ajay has revealed that since he has several films lined up, one being Bhuj: The Pride of India. "Rana Daggubati, who's playing a pivotal role in Bhuj, had taken ill. That's one reason why the film got a little delayed," the Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior actor revealed.

Ajay went on to say, "With my films getting a little delayed, Luv has a free schedule and he has also got Ranbir's dates. He told me about another script and asked me if he could make that film while I completed other commitments, instead of losing out on Ranbir's dates. I told him he could go ahead and make this film first instead of waiting for me. After he makes this film and I am done with other commitments, we'll begin work on our collaboration."

Talking about the film further, a source close to the development of the film said, "There were no creative differences. The film had to wait as it can't be made without Ajay." The film is said to go on floors in March 2020.
