Filmy Friday: Where will Dabangg 3 stand in the list of Salman Khan's highest grossers?

Salman Khan's big-ticket film Dabangg 3 has hit the screens and needless to say, it is expected to be a money-spinner at the box office. The expectations are sky-high from this action-entertainer as the deadly combo of Prabhudheva and Salman Khan are coming together after 10 years post-Wanted. Dabangg 3 got a good response in the advance booking report and we are expecting the film to earn over Rs 35 crore on its first day. If the film achieves these numbers, it would be a great opening for Dabangg as it is a normal working Friday. The film should enter the Rs 100 crore club in its first weekend or max by its first Monday at the domestic box office. It will also enjoy the Christmas holiday (December 25), which will help the film in getting a great boost in the collections. So, if we analyze the scenario, the Salman Khan has a chance to earn around Rs 175 crore in its first week.

But the film will lose a good chunk of screens in its second week as Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh's Good Newwz will arrive on December 27. Though we can expect the mass centres continue to contribute as Dabangg 3 primarily caters to them. While the film has a strong chance to hit the double century at the box office, it might struggle to cross the Rs 250 crore mark at the ticket windows.

Dabangg 3, which also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sonakshi Sinha and Kichcha Sudeepa in key roles, is produced under the banners of Salman Khan Films, Arbaaz Khan Productions and Saffron Broadcast & Media Limited.
