Hrithik Roshan fans, rejoice! 'Krrish 4 is underway,' the actor confirms his superhero film is in works

2019 has been a succesful and fruitful year for Hrithik Roshan, who is touted to be the Greek God of Bollywood. The superstar had two big releases this year and both of them set the cash registers ringing. Super 30, which released in the month of July, was based on the life of mathematician, Anand Kumar, who struggled a lot before successfully running the Super 30 programme for IIT aspirants in Patna. Three months after Super 30, HR set the silver screen on fire with WAR and his fine acting skills plus good looks made us fall in love with him all over again. While he kept us entertained throughout 2019, we don't know as to when Hrithik Roshan will appear next on the big screen. The actor hasn't announced a new project yet but his latest confession about the fourth installment of Krrish will give you a sigh of relief.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Hrithik Roshan confirmed that Krrish 4 is in works. "The film is underway but it's best that I speak at the right time; once I begin work on the film," he said.

For starters, Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, started the Krrish franchise with Koi Mil Gaya, which was followed by Krrish and Krrish 3. Revealing the secret to the success of this franchise, he added, "It wasn't a pretentious superhero film; the logics were right. The genesis of superhero films in India requires a prequel and then to be taken forward into the template. In my head, Krrish became a superhero in Krrish 3. Koi Mil Gaya was a backstory with Rohit; Krrish was a personal story though, by the end, you feel that the character could be a superhero but in Krrish 3, he became one. The three films have established a solid foundation for the franchise. Any such series needs that because we are building the character from scratch."

Before ending the chat, Hrithik expressed his desire to the second part of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The actor featured in the Zoya Akhtar directorial with Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin in ZNMD.
