Movies this week: Pati Patni Aur Woh, Panipat

None of last week's releases Commando 3, Yeh Saali Aashiqui, Hotel Mumbai failed to impress at the box office. Now, all eyes are on the last month of the year, in which many big and highly-anticipated films are scheduled to release. This Friday will see the release of two films Pati Patni Aur Woh and Panipat. Let's have a look at them.

Panipat

Director: Ashutosh Gowariker

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon

Synopsis: Panipat is set in 1761, when the Maratha Empire had reached its zenith and their grip on Hindustan reigned supreme with no one to challenge them. Until an invader set his eyes on the throne of Hindustan. That`s when Sadashiv Rao Bhau (Arjun Kapoor), the Commander-in-Chief of the Maratha army led a northern expedition in order to repel the invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt), the king of Afghanistan. This action-drama entailing the events that led to the Third Battle of Panipat, stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. It is produced by Sunita Gowariker under their banner of AGPPL along with Rohit Shelatkar`s company Vision World and is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.

Pati Patni Aur Woh

Director: Mudassar Aziz

Cast: Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Panday

Synopsis: Chintu Tyagi is an ordinary, middle class man who finds himself torn between his wife and another woman. This remake of the classic 80`s film stars Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
