Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 BEATS Uri, Total Dhamaal and Bharat to become fourth-highest first Monday grosser of 2019

Despite an underwhelming response at the box office due to the ongoing CAA Protests, Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 has managed to set new benchmarks at the ticket windows. Dabangg 3 is not among one of Salman Khan's best performances at the box office but still, it is much better than 80 per cent of the Bollywood films released this year.

Unlike, the second instalment, which which was directed by Salman Khan's brother, Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 is helmed by Prabhudheva. When asked about the reason behind this, the megastar told us, "We didn't want Arbaaz's BP (blood pressure) to shift. His BP levels are very good right now, and we didn't want his BP to go high again. So, Arbaaz himself had suggested that we should take someone else to direct it (laughs), and that's how we got Prabhudheva on board."

On the other hand, Arbaaz Khan said, "Well, I think, we wanted to give a slightly fresh perspective to the film and there as this seven-year gap and I also got involved in a couple of things. Maybe I felt, you know, producer, director, and actor was a bit of too much with a lot of things happening in my life on my personal and professional front. The focus and the time required was (much) I think I could contribute more as a producer and an actor. But as a director that extreme focus. (I thought) Maybe this time, I could take the back seat."
