WTF Wednesday: Rashami Desai-Sidharth Shukla's abusive slugfest on Bigg Boss 13 was downright disgusting
Bigg Boss 13 is turning out to be the most toxic season ever. The negativity on the show is making one wonder if the contestants have come on the show to seek vendetta for past issues. The level of personal grudges is way too high and they are not shy about flaunting them. We do not need to repeat what happened over the weekend in the Bigg Boss 13 house. Rashami Desai was furious over Sidharth Shukla's "naukrani" and "aisi ladki" comment. The Balika Vadhu actor was adamant that he did not mean it in a bad way. Things worsened after she abused him with the choicest expletives one could ever imagine. It was shocking to see the language used by celebrities whom we have admired over the years.
The sad part is that hardly anyone wanted to end the fight with some level of grace. Sidharth Shukla held his ground saying that Rashami Desai did not get the tonality of his statement for two full days. The culmination of his stubborn attitude was a verbal volley right in front of Salman Khan. It was so dirty that many words had to be beeped out. Many of the contestants did not stop even in front of the superstar as they kept on sparring. Salman Khan repeatedly said that he has had enough of their toxic behaviour, but no one was in the mood to stop.
No one wants to hear words like namard, hijra, ghatiya, nashedi and ganjedi on national TV at dinner time. The mudslinging continued and the other housemates were adding fuel to the fire. This was the worst Weekend Ka Vaar in the history of the show. It is understandable that people on the show may or may not have had a past that is bitter. However, these guys need to understand that they did not sign up for the show to spew venom every second day. From Sidharth Shukla's unbridled aggression to Asim Riaz's constant instigation tactics to Rashami Desai's habit of drudging up the past, it is one engrossing yet infuriating season.
