Anya Singh reveals her reaction when Nakuul Mehta called her 'heavy' – EXCLUSIVE
Ishqbaaz hunk Nakuul Mehta is back with a new project, Never Kiss Your Best Friend. His co-star is the Qaidi Band actress Anya Singh. BollywoodLife caught up with the two for a chat. Nakuul and Anya have shot for the show in the freezing temperatures of London. Anya Singh told us that she was rather taken aback as Nakuul Mehta called her heavy three days after they had met for the first time. She narrates, "The first time we had to have a physical fight, it was on the third day of the shoot. We did not know each other. Nakuul came up and said you are not as light as you look. You are quite heavy. I was like what is this?"
Nakuul Mehta quipped, "I said you are fiesty and now you use the word quite often." The camaraderie between Anya and Nakuul was quite evident throughout our interview. He added, "She looks delicate from the outside but let me tell you that she is a warrior. Once I realised that, I did not give any leniency." He says all their spontaneous scenes were a lot more fun than the ones they rehearsed for. Nakuul says humorously, "I saw Anya through different seasons. There were days she was totally down. When we had spring Anya bloomed on the sets."
Anya who was listening patiently to all this said, "See, it was really cold in London. We had chilly winds blowing over our faces. And I was wearing these tiny shorts. I told my director that I wanted to wear jeans but he said that no Tanie does not wear jeans. And there was Nakuul in denims and sweatshirts." Hearing this, he smirked and said, "It is truly an unfair world out there."
