Good Newwz box office collection day 9: Akshay Kumar- Kareena Kapoor starrer continues its strong run in its second weekend

The news continues to be amazing for the cast and crew of Good Newwz as the film witnessed another good jump on its second Saturday at the box-office. Post a really strong first week, helped no doubt by the national holiday for Christmas, coupled with the slight under-performance of Dabangg 3 and X'mas holidays for most school kids, turning the movie into a family outing, Good Newwz held remarkably well on its second Friday to begin week two on a strong note. Now, with another favourable jump on day 9 hauling in Rs. 11.70 crore nett and taking the total collection to Rs. 147.70 crore nett the Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor-Kiara Advani-Diljit Dosanjh starrer looks set for another strong showing in its second week.

The rate at which the movie is registering footfalls should comfortably ensure that it completes its lifetime run with a superhit verdict at the very least, continuing Akshay Kumar's golden run in 2019 (Good Newwz was preceded by Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Kesari in that order) while also handing Kareena Kapoor Khan successive hits, including Veere Di Wedding, and capping off a fantastic year for Kiara Advani, which began with Kabir Singh. Diljit Dosanjh, too, has plenty of reason to smile having got his first clean hit in Bollywood.
