Panga Box Office Collection Day 1 early estimate: Kangana Ranaut starrer of to a poor start

Although Kangana Ranaut's latest release Panga has received a warm welcome by the masses and by the critics the film has not able to survive the first day test of the box office. Kangana Ranaut's Panga directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari opened to rave reviews, however the box office numbers are disappointing. As per the early estimates the first-day collection of Panga is around 2.25 to 2.50 crore. Although the movie has opened to underwhelming numbers the good word of mouth is expected to give the movie a boost. Especially with the coming weekend including the National Holiday, Panga might pick up the pace and become a sleeper hit.

Panga is the second women led film of this year. Earlier Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar released, however opened with a collection of Rs 4.77 crore. The Deepika Padukone led movie was called a dud.

Panga is centered around a woman, Jaya (Kangana Ranaut) but it will appeal to everyone who has a hidden dream that's on the back burner due to the pressure of responsibilities. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwary in a beautiful manner has highlighted how a strong support system can truly give a woman the wings to fly. Nikhil Mehrotra and Ashwiny's writing is nuanced and laced with humour.

Panga got three and a half stars in a review of BollywoodLife. "Panga addresses all issues right from how motherhood is a reason of major conflict for a mother to how society views the productivity of moms at the workplace. In a subtle way, it sends all the right messages. Panga is a heart-warming film in all respects," a part of the review read.

The film stars Kangana Ranaut, Jassie Gill, Richa Chaddha, Neena Gupta.
