Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden team up for Russo Brothers' 'Citadel'
It is official! Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden are finalised as the leads for Russo Brothers' upcoming drama series on a leading international OTT platform. This announcement was made on Tuesday at the winter press tour of Television Critics Association. Citadel is the title of the series. The series will be made with a Mexican, Indian and Italian franchise. The news of the show first came out in July 28. The Russo Brothers are famous worldwide for the Avengers series and we cannot wait to see what magic Priyanka Chopra creates with them. In fact, Priyanka had given us a teasing idea of collaborating with them quite some time back.
When the brothers visited India for the promotions of Avengers: Endgame, Joe Russo said that Priyanka was fantastic and they would love to work with her. He told the media, "Priyanka is transitioning into global status now. She is fantastic... (I would) Love to work with her... I am potentially talking to Priyanka for something. I am not going to say what it is." As per Variety, Patrick Moran, Mike Larocca, and Joe and Anthony Russo will serve as executive producers. In India, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. will be developing the Indian version.
Priyanka Chopra, one of Bollywood's leading stars has been making waves in Hollywood ever since her debut with Quantico in 2015. The lady is also developing an Indian wedding comedy with Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor at Universal. Coming to her co-star, Richard Madden won a Golden Globe for his performance in the BBC One show, Bodyguard. He has worked in Game of Thrones as well.
