Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior box office day 10 early estimates: Ajay Devgn's historical drama witnesses a massive jump

Ajay Devgn's 100th film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, has turned out to be a money spinner at the box office. It has been unstoppable since day one and the film is going to do better business with each passing day. Om Raut's historical drama is an epic tale of Tanaji Malusare (military leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj), who won the Kondhana fort for Swaraj. He was a true Maratha warrior. Coming back to the film's box office business, it earned Rs. 145.33 crore in just 9 days. And if early estimates are to be believed, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior saw a growth of 36 percent on Sunday and minted Rs. 21 crore. The total BO collection of Ajay Devgn- Saif Ali Khan starrer now stands at Rs. 166.33 crore. Tanhaji has not only benefitted due to its strong storyline but also because of Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak and Sunny Singh's Jai Mummy Di's failure at the box office.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior featured Kajol as Tanaji Malusare's wife, Sharad Kelkar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Saif Ali Khan as Udaybhan Singh. With this film, Kajol reunited with her husband after 10 years on the big screen.

Talking about their reunion, Kajol recently told Firstpost, "We have done many films together so it wasn't something very different working with him now. But it was very comfortable and very convenient because we used to travel to work at the same time and go carpooling (laughs). It felt like home. He has grown and evolved a lot in his performance but that basic honesty is very much there. It's also great to have him as your co-star because he keeps giving these useful tips. On one hand, the director is directing, and on the other, he directs to better the expression, better the shot or add or change something."
