Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior box office collection day 13 early estimates: Ajay Devgn-Saif Ali Khan's film is unstoppable

Director Om Raut's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is in no mood to slow down at the box office. The historical drama dominated the new and holdover releases and the early estimates suggest that it has raked in around Rs 7.15 crore yesterday. It currently stands with the grand total of around Rs 190 crore and is expected to enter the Rs 200 crore club by Saturday at the domestic market.

The film was declared tax-free yesterday in the Maharashtra state and we are expecting that this decision will help the film to continue its dominance in this state. The decision to waive off GST on ticket sales for the movie came a day after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and other leaders watched the film at a special show in Mumbai. The martyrdom of Tanaji Malusare -- Commander of the Maratha Empire headed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj -- in the battle of Sinhagad Fort in Pune with the then commander of the fort Udaybhan Sinh Rathore, who was allied with the Mughals, holds a special place in the state's history.

Besides Maharashtra, several other states have also declared the film tax-free. Talking about reviews, our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film 4 stars and wrote, "Ajay Devgn delivers an adrenaline-raising experience with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. It is a film that you will remember for its scenes and moments. Watch it in a single screen so that you don't feel awkward hooting or clapping. That is if you do!"She also praised the technical aspects of the film and wrote, "Om Raut and Prakash Kapadia have written some rousing dialogues for the film. Another star of the film is cinematographer Keiko Nakahara. The battle happens at night and it is shown beautifully on screen. Sandeep Shirodkar does a great job with the BGM.
