Tuesday Trivia: Did you know Chunky Panday was NOT the first choice for Akhri Pasta in Housefull?

Bollywood actor Chunky Panday, who featured in late 80s and 90s hits like Aankhen, Tezaab and Vishwatma, started his second innings by donning a comic avatar and we saw him tickling our funny bones with hilarious acts in films like Apna Sapna Money Money, De Dana Dan and Fool N Final. But the character which gave him immense popularity was Aakhri Pasta, which he played in Housefull. His character became so iconic that we still see many cinema lovers using his dialogue 'I'm joking' in daily conversations. In fact, apart from Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Panday is the only actor, who is present in all the four instalments and the reason behind this is the ever-increasing popularity of his character of Akhri Pasta.

While we can't imagine any other actor other than Chunky Panday, who would have made the character of Akhri Pasta so iconic, you would be surprised to know that he was not the first choice for this character. Yes, earlier, the director of the film Sajid Khan had himself decided to play the character but as per sources, Chunky's wife, Bhavna, who is also Sajid's rakhi sister, suggested Chunky's name for the character and we say the rest is history.

Interestingly, the producer of the film. Sajid Nadiadwala, recently revealed that he is planning Housefull 5 and will take all the star cast of the previous four instalments, which means the film might have a huge star cast of Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Zareen Khan and Mithun Chakraborty.
