WTF Wednesday: Asim Riaz - Himanshi Khurana's whirlwind romance is too good to be true even for hopeless romantics!
This year, Bigg Boss 13 is volatile and dramatic. It is also a bit funny, especially in the relationships department. We have three 'couples' inside the house. There is Sidharth Shukla - Shehnaaz Gill, the adorable #SidNaaz duo who are BFFs and are trying to figure out what 'attachment' exactly means. There is the loyal bond of Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma who are besties but their love story never took off as it was expected to. The surprise package was Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana's love story. From the lady finding his flirting annoying to being best friends and him confessing his one-sided love for her, it was quite a ride inside the house. But the story took a different dimension altogether as Himanshi Khurana exited the house. And now, we have Asim Riaz proposing marriage to her on national television!
ICYMI, when Himanshi Khurana met Asim Riaz on the reality show, she was already in a relationship. Her beau and she were together for nine years. She told Asim in clear words that they could only have a friendly bond. Over time, they became BFFs and Asim lavished his love swooning over her beauty and grace. He was the perfect poetic lover. The two had their moments and fans gushed over the couple. Asim was heartbroken when Himanshi left the house and took time to recover. Himanshi left saying she did invite her favourites to her wedding as and when it would happen.
Once she got out, Himanshi went all out to support Asim Riaz who was making news for his shenanigans inside the house. In less than a fortnight, we got the news that she had broken up with her boyfriend. The reasons were undisclosed but it looked like a clash of viewpoints. Pretty promptly, a message was sent to Asim Riaz through guests that she was not getting married and waiting for him. The young man looked equally dumbfounded and elated. Ten days later, Himanshi Khurana is making a comeback to support him and he is going to make the big proposal on TV!
This is just too dreamy even for the most hopeless romantics out there. In fact, there is a video where Asim Riaz is heard talking about his on and off girlfriend. We wonder if she is anywhere in the picture or not given the speedy developments. They say love is a many splendoured thing, so do not be shocked if you see absurdities even in this milennial era.
