Aamir Khan to make his web series debut soon? – here's what we know

Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for his next, Laal Singh Chaddha. Being the perfectionist he is, the actor took his own sweet time for the film which is a remake of Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump. However, if reports are to be believed, the actor would soon make his debut in the webspace. Yes, you heard it. After Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and many other Bollywood celebrities, Mr Perfectionist is keen to try his hand in the web series space.

As per a report in Mid-Day, Aamir Khan is being approached for an OTT platform multi-series that is said to be helmed on a larger than life scale. A source close to the development of the project told Mid-Day, "Aamir's team of writers has conceptualised and developed the material. It was recently pitched to the heads of the streaming giant, who have been keen to collaborate with the superstar and looking for a project that is worthy of him. The show is a human interest drama."

Just a couple of days ago, the reports of Aamir Khan being a part of the re-telling of Mahabharat has surfaced. However, since the actor is busy with Laal Singh Chaddha at the moment, it was put on hold. When asked whether this web series is the same project, the source said, "No, this is a new series. Mahabharat is also in development, but that will happen at a later stage. For now, there are three well-rounded ideas that are being worked upon."

On the other hand, almost a year ago, Akshay Kumar had announced that he would be making his digital debut with the same platform. The project was said to be a riveting and edge-of-the-seat thriller, tentatively titled, The End. Well, looks like Bollywood is loving the webspace as well.
