After Kabir Singh, Jersey and RX 100, Karthi's Kaithi to be remade in Bollywood

It's like a wave now, that South films are being remade in Bollywood, don't you think? Ever since Kabir Singh release, and also prior to that, various South films have been remade in the Hindi film industry. However, Kabir Singh's success has opened new opportunities for the filmmakers to explore genres from South cinema here in Bollywood. There are various films that are being remade as of now, be it Jersey or RX 100. To make it to the list is Karthi's hit of 2019, Kaithi. Yes, you read that right.

Reliance Entertainment has joined hands with S. R. Prakashbabu, S. R. Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures to jointly produce the remake of 2019's Tamil blockbuster 'Kaithi' in Hindi. On the Hindi remake of Kaithi, S.R. Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures said, "Kaithi is a film with No Heroine, No Songs and a 100% Action Genre. Released with all these odds on the Diwali festival day, Kaithi came out as a box office blockbuster among the family audience in the South. We're delighted to join hands with Reliance Entertainment for the Bollywood remake. This high-octane film will surely entertain the audience, pan India."

Coming back to the film, Kaithi starred Karthi in the lead role. It was a Diwali release directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. the film also starred Narain and Dheena in key roles. The action thriller opened to great reviews from the critics. Well, the cast and crew of Kaithi are yet to be decided and so is the title of the film.
