Bigg Boss 13: Mahira Sharma's Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival award fake? Organisers demand apology for lying

Bigg Boss 13 is finally over. But the contestants are making news and how. Mahira Sharma has landed herself in a soup for allegedly lying about receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival award for being the most fashionable contestant on Bigg Boss 13. The event was held recently in Mumbai. Bigg Boss 13 contestants like Rashami Desai, Hindustani Bhau and Mahira Sharma were in attendance. After she flaunted her apparent win, the organisers issued an official statement slamming her, 'immoral and distasteful attempt to gain publicity'. Mahira Sharma apparently shared a certificate from the awards show that declared her as the 'Most Fashionable Contestant of Bigg Boss 13'. The event organisers say the certificate is a fake one.

The organisers have issued a statement, "One of the Bigg Boss 13 contestants, Ms Mahira Sharma, who was an attendee of this event, posted an Instagram story on 20th February 2020 at around 11:30 pm showcasing that she has received a certificate of appreciation at the DPIFF award ceremony for being 'The Most Fashionable Contestant Of Bigg Boss 13'. From then on, this story has been copied and reposted by the fan pages on Instagram along with multiple media houses who have posted this as news on their websites."

The statement further said that it was forged. Visibly upset, the organisers wrote, "This immoral and distasteful attempt by Mahira Sharma to gain publicity and personal benefits by counterfeiting a very reputed award and showcasing her name on to a falsified category has created an irreversible damage to the brand's image and reputation." Now, several portals carried the news of Mahira Sharma's win.

It seems the organisers have told Mahira Sharma to remove all the articles about her being the winner. They have also demanded a written apology from the lady. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
