Malang actress Disha Patani on nepotism: Instead of being jealous, it’s better to work your way up on the strength of your talent

Disha Patani is gearing up for Malang which releases this Friday. The movie has created ample buzz thanks to the chemistry between the two actors, the amazing cast and storyline. The Mohit Suri directorial is a romantic action thriller that also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in lead roles. The actress along with other cast and crew were on a promotional spree, visiting sets of various TV shows, giving interviews, attending events, participating in a bike ride in Delhi. The two have been going all-out and leaving no stone unturned to create more excitement around the film.

Now, the topic of Nepotism has been the hottest trend ever since Kangana Ranaut had taken a dig at Karan Johar and had called him the flag bearer of nepotism in the industry. Ananya Panday, Alaya F and others have given their views on the same and each differs from the other. There have been some who have refrained from commenting on the matter as well. During an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Disha was asked about her peers like Kiara Advani, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday and others are doing quite well and what's her take on star kids doing great she said, "We are all special and doing different kinds of movies. There aren't too many Fridays with solo releases so there's enough work for everyone. I believe in feminism and equality. At the end of the day, it's the work that speaks."

"You're lucky if people like you, that cannot come with birth or be bought. Nepotism exists in every industry. My sister is in the army. If she has a child, they will have an edge over others if they decide to join the forces. Instead of being jealous, it's better to work your way up, on the strength of your talent." She went on to add.
