Malang box office collection day 1 early estimates: Aditya Roy Kapur-Disha Patani's film opens with decent numbers

Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer Malang, which released yesterday has managed to open with decent numbers as the film has raked in around Rs 6 crore on its first day at the box office. Though the film is expected to show a substantial growth today and tomorrow to stand with a good weekend number at the ticket windows. Directed by Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain helmer, Mohit Suri, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Elli AvrRam in key roles.

The film is garnering rave reviews from the cinegoers. Our critic Russel D'Silva gave the film 4 stars and wrote, "Malang movie is another proud addition to the pantheon of Bollywood's revenge-themed films, told against the backdrop of a high-concept thriller. I'm willing to ignore a few of the film's flaws and go with 4 out of 5 stars purely because of how bloody entertaining it is."

He also praised the technical aspects along with the star cast and stated, "Aseem Arrora, Aniruddha Guha and Mohit Suri come up with a kick-ass script, full of wonderful layers, twisted characters, absorbing back stories and wicked twists and turns, which are backed up brilliantly by Suri's surgical direction. He's in total control of his script, toying with both key plot elements and our minds to take us on a wild ride. It helps immensely that Suri is blessed with a quartet of actors who gel together to bring his dark and sinister vision on screen. Full marks to him, too, for displaying the prudence to cast Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in the two performance-oriented roles while giving the stylish parts to Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani."
