Movies this week; Malang, Shikara, Hacked

As another week dawns upon us, the first and foremost thing on every movie-buff's mind would be to make a list of the upcoming films hitting the market. Now, in case you're having some difficulty making a note of all the Hindi movies about to release, fret not, because we've got your back. We've not only compiled a list of the Bollywood films set to hit screens this Friday, but have also jotted down their salient features and what to look forward to in each of them. So, without further ado, here are the upcoming Bollywood movies this week:

1.) Malang

Director: Mohit Suri

Cast: Aditya Roy Kapoor, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu

Synopsis: Years after Advait and Sara's beautiful romance in Goa goes horribly wrong, the former has turned into a dangerous killer, with two cops hot on his trail.

Reasons to Watch: The trailer is looking fantastic, and if it's anything to go by, then it looks like we've got the filmmaker of Murder 2, Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain back, and not the one who gave us duds like Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Half Girlfriend.

2.) Shikara

Director: Vidhu VInod Chopra

Cast: Aadil Khan, Sadia

Synopsis: A detailed account of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.

Reasons to Watch: VVC returns to Director's chair 5 years after Broken Horses and 13 years after his last Hindi film, Eklavya: The Royal Guard, and those two films notwithstanding, if Shikara turns out to be anything like Parinda, Khamosh, 1942: A Love Story or Mission Kashmir, then we're in for a treat. Plus, it's about time someone brought the story of the plight of Kashmiri Pandits onto the big screen.

3.) Hacked

Director: Vikram Bhatt

Cast: Hina Khan, Rohan Shah, Sheetal Dabholkar

Synopsis: A dangerous cat-and-mouse game ensues between an online hacker and his female victim.

Reasons to Watch: Despite his lackluster recent efforts, you always have to keep one eye out fora Vikram Bhatt film just in case he rediscovers his form of yore. Plus, it'll be interesting to see how TV star Hina Khan's Bollywood debut turns out.
