THIS Student Of The Year 2 actress to romance Vijay Deverakonda in Fighter?

Bollywood News: Vijay Deverakonda, who shot to fame with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy, is gearing up for his first Bollywood film. Last month, the actor arrived in Mumbai for the Muhurat shot of the film, which is going to be directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vijay will begin his B-town with this mixed-martial-arts film and people are way too excited for his new venture. The latest development about Vijay's next, which is called Fighter, has just dropped. The leading lady of the film has been reportedly finalised. And according to a Mumbai Mirror report, the actress in question is Student Of The Year star Ananya Panday.

It was being speculated that either Janhvi Kapoor or Ananya Panday would do romance Vijay Deverakonda. However, makers have finally zeroed down to the Pati Patni Aur Woh actress. Makers wanted to apparently cast a young girl opposite Vijay and hence Ananya Panday came into the picture. "Ananya is eager to work with Vijay and is expected to start shooting mid-March or in the first week of April," a source close to the development, informed the leading daily.

Meanwhile, talking about his Bollywood debut, Vijay had earlier told Film Companion, "Doing Hindi (films) is interesting but I want to do something that is Telugu and Hindi. Something that works back home and here. I can't see myself shifting here at an apartment as my friends are back home. I love the laid back, lazy lifestyle. I can't work with 5 guys every day photographing me. It serves the purpose, but I don't think I would like it every day and I think Mumbai is too fast for me."
