Tuesday Trivia: Did you know birthday boy Shahid Kapoor was supposed to co-star with John Abraham and Vivek Oberoi for THIS film?

The handsome hunk of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor has turned 39 today. The good-looking star, who is known for his dancing and acting skills delivered a blockbuster last year in the form of Kabir Singh. The romantic drama raked in over Rs 275 crore and was the second-highest grosser of 2019. While the actor is known for choosing some unconventional films like Kaminey, Haider and Udta Punjab, it will surprise you to know that way back in 2005, the actor was offered a role, which also featured Vivek Oberoi and John Abraham in key roles.

Well, you must have guessed it that the movie was Kaal and later Ajay Devgn stepped in to play the character. Though Shahid must be happy on losing out this opportunity as the natural horror film failed to create any magic at the box office. Though it would have been Shahid Kapoor's first collaboration with Karan Johar, who produced this film.

Shahid Kapoor is currently busy with the shooting of Jersey. Talking about the film, Shahid Kapoor recently said, "It took me some time to decide what to do next after 'Kabir Singh'. But the minute I saw 'Jersey, I knew I wanted it to be my next. It's a wonderful, inspiring, and personal human journey that I connected with deeply.''

It is the remake of the Telugu film of the same name, which featured Nani in the lead role. It is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original, and is produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju under their Sri Venkateswara Creations and Geetha Arts banners.
