Coronavirus pandemic: Rakul Preet Singh shoots for an ad; her film shoots stand cancelled

While the entire film industry has come to a standstill due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, actress Rakul Preet Singh stepped out in the city for a brand shoot. Before moving out of her house, the actress must have definitely taken precautionary measures to avoid getting infected with the coronavirus. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rakul confirmed this development and said, "I'm shooting an ad today for a brand. This shoot couldn't have moved hence we are filming it now. We are following the precautionary measures. We have the entire crew masked up. We also have put up a fever checking facility at the entry and everyone's being given a band only after the check-up."

On the other hand, her next project with Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham's Attack has been halted due to coronavirus. "Of course, both the shoots of my films have been cancelled. Almost 15 days of the shoot has been canned so far till the 31st of March. I was supposed to shoot every day between the two films but now, both my film shoots have been stalled because of the corona outbreak," she said.

Similarly, Aamir Khan has also called off the next schedule of Laal Singh Chaddha, keeping the safety of his team in mind. The actor returned to Mumbai after wrapping up the Chandigarh schedule. "Since a major chunk of the film is being shot at real locations, the next schedule will be decided on a later date, after analyzing the situation on-ground. Aamir was discussing cancelling the shoot much before that," a source informed Mumbai Mirror.

The co-producer of Shahid Kapoor's Jersey also confirmed that the shoot of the film has come to a standstill. "We were looking to wrap up by April-end but in the wake of the unfolding crisis across the globe, we have decided to suspend the shoot for a few weeks. If the situation normalizes soon, we will resume work by early next month," he told the leading daily.
