Shaan on Baaghi 3’s Dus Bahane 2.0: I think it was a bit premature to bring the song back [Exclusive]

Shaan is back with an amazing musical number, which we cannot stop listening to. We are talking about Main Tujhko Yaad Karta Hoon, a truly melodious track that will touch your heart. Shaan's soul-touching vocals have always stirred countless emotions within listeners, and his fans still listen to his evergreen songs. Be it Who Pehli Baar, Musu Musu Hasi, Tune Mujhe Pehchana Nahin, Woh Ladki Hai Kahan, Yeh Hawayein, O Re Kanchi, O Humdum Soniyo Re, Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai, Kuch To Hua Hai, Kasam Ki Kasam, Ladki Kyun or Jab Se Tere Naina and many, many more, his tracks often tug at our heartstrings till date.

We got in touch with the singer for an exclusive chat about Main Tujhko Yaad Karta Hoon, for which Shaan has not only provided his vocals, but has also composed the song. The singer-composer spoke about his experience of coming back with a number, how long he had been working on it and even his recently recreated track, Dus Bahane, by the original composers, Vishal-Shekhar, for Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer, Baaghi 3.

When asked what he feels about his song being recreated, the singer exulted and said, "I'm happy that my voice is still on the song because most recreations have new voices. So, people forget the original singers and imagine the new voices. That could have happened, but I am very glad the producers decided to retain mine and KK's voices, and the song will now remain ours forever."

When prodded about Bollywood remaking songs nineteen to the dozen, Shaan added, "I think it makes good business sense for music companies. The song has a recall value, the song has been lost at some point. You know that people like the song. They consider that the generation is changing every 8 years. This song though (Dus Bahane) was just bout 14-15 years old. It's not even a generation old. Most people know the original anyway. I think it was a little too premature to bring the song back. But, like I said, there wasn't much change. So, it's a win-win for everyone."

Well, that's the perpetually smiling and perennially optimistic Shaan for you all. And BTW, he is coming up with more music now. Wait and watch out.
