WTF Wednesday: Sana Khaan and Melvin Louis' breakup controversy has got our heads spinning, and how

When Sana Khaan and Melvin Louis announced that they were a couple, quite a few people were happy for them. We saw some incredible dance moves on their Insta handles and felt that they were indeed in rhythm both on the dance floor and with each other. Months later, Sana Khaan announced that she has ended her relationship with Melvin Louis. She posted about how her breakup left her depressed and heartbroken. Later, she went on an exposing spree, where she posted about how Melvin Louis cheated on her with various girls. If this was not all, then Sana also alleged that he impregnated one of his students. The actress bared her heart out, saying that the relationship had hurt her immensely. Fans were shocked at the gravity of the allegations and did not know how to react.

Days later, Melvin Louis trashed her claims saying that she was only trying to defame him. He said that her allegations of cheating were part of a plan to "clean her image". He also shared an audio clip to substantiate his statement. In the clip, a voice that is apparently Sana's says that she wants to publicly insult him to feel better about herself. It sounds too bizarre to be true. Some even wondered why Melvin did not choose to react immediately after the barrage of allegations levied against him. That being said, isn't a breakup a very personal matter, with only the two people involved in the relationship knowing the exact reason of discord between them.

Of late, we have seen some celebs sharing audio clips to prove a point. While we know that every celebrity records a conversation for safety sake, this public sharing of personal details is questionable. Not everyone is interested in the dirty secrets of celebrities' personal lives. And this idea of proving a point at the cost of making private clips public is quite disturbing on many levels. It reflects an obvious lack of trust and respect. A person truly in love can be distraught upon knowing that he or she has been cheated on, but is a media expose the right course of action? If we consider what kind of example it sets, people might have different views on it. Keeping records of conversations without the other person being in the know is a violation of privacy. We wonder if people have any idea of this law?
