After Agneepath, Don and Zanjeer, Bollywood is ready for the remakes of THESE Amitabh Bachchan's films

Whether you can say lack of originality or love for iconic Hindi films, we have witnessed several remakes in recent times. Undoubtedly Amitabh Bachchan's blockbusters like Sholay, Agneepath, Don and Zanjeer contributed a lot in the category and it seems now Bollywood is ready for 2.0 version of the angry young man as we will see more remakes of Big B films including Satte Pe Satta, Chupke Chupke, Namak Halal and Shahenshah. Well, that's what the latest piece of news suggests from the entertainment industry.

As per the Mumbai Mirror report, a source informs that many filmmakers have approached director Tinnu Anand for the remake rights of Shahenshah. "He is yet to part with them. Another one of his directorial, Kaalia, is also a strong contender, with a lot of industry insiders keen to put a modern-day spin on the action entertainer," informed the source. Sources have also revealed that some makers are even talking about the remake of Namak Halal, which also featured Shashi Kapoor, Smita Patil and Parveen Babi. "It's a timeless comedy and multiple producers are in talks. If the deal is locked, one of them is looking to approach a top actor-star kid, whose forte is comedy, to step into Bachchan's shoes," said the source.

Bhushan Kumar has already announced the Chupke Chupke remake with Rajkummar Rao stepping into the shoes of Dharmendra but the makers have not disclosed the actor, who will play Amitabh Bachchan's character yet. The Satte Pe Satta remake has been in the news for quite some time now. The film which will be directed by Farah Khan and bankrolled by Rohit Shetty has grabbed the headlines for many actors backing out of the project. After Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan, there are rumours that the makers have approached Ajay Devgn for the lead role. "It's challenging to get such a huge ensemble in place. An official update on the film is expected once the coronavirus pandemic subsides," added the source.
