Coronavirus pandemic: Ayesha Takia and husband Farhan Azmi offer their Gulf hotel to the BMC

After Shah Rukh Khan offered his office space as a quarantine facility, Wanted actress Ayesha Takia and her husband Farhan Azmi have done a similar thing. They have offered their hotel in South Mumbai as a quarantine facility to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Ayesha's partner confirmed this development to Spotboye and said, "Yes, we have given our Gulf Hotel for quarantine to the BMC. We are together during this time of crisis. We have handed over our hotel to BMC and the Mumbai Police as the quarantine centre. Ours is a small hotel. And we hope that in future, the government should support small businesses too."

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan had offered their four-storey personal office space to be used as a quarantine facility for COVID- 19 patients, women, children and elderly. Thanking the couple for their thoughtful gesture, BMC tweeted, "We thank @iamsrk & @gaurikhan for offering their 4-storey personal office space to help expand our Quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women & elderly. Indeed a thoughtful & timely gesture."

Meanwhile, Sonu Sood also extended his support by offering his Juhu hotel for the healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, and the paramedical staff to fight the pandemic. In an official statement, he had said, "It's my honour to be able to do my bit for the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff of our country who have been working day and night to save the lives of millions in the country. I'm really happy to open the doors of my hotel for these real-time heroes."

Apart from Sonu, Shah Rukh Khan and Ayesha Takia, Salman Khan has lent a helping hand by providing meals and money to 25,000 daily wage earners. The actor has also extended his support to 50 female ground workers from Malegoan. On the other hand, Akshay has donated a whopping Rs 25 crore to PM Cares Fund to help the needy and COVID-19 patients. Our Bollywood celebrities are extremely generous and there are no doubts about that.
