Coronavirus pandemic: Rohit Shetty facilitates eight hotels across the city for on-duty policemen to rest amidst the lockdown

The coronavirus pandemic has become a threat to the world. Even in India, the deadly virus has been spreading rapidly and each new day we get to hear of new cases. The nation is in a house arrest and many celebrities have come forward to help the needy and have also donated money for the PM CARES fund. They have been supporting the frontline workers, doctors, nurses, ward boys, policemen and others in doing their duties well. Recently, Sooryavanshi directed Rohit Shetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for on-duty policemen to rest and have meals amid the coronavirus pandemic. The policemen of Mumbai have thanked him for his sweet gesture through a tweet from their official Twitter handle.

The tweet read, "#RohitShetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for our on-duty #CovidWarriors to rest, shower & change with arrangements for breakfast & dinner. We thank him for this kind gesture and for helping us in #TakingOnCorona and keeping Mumbai safe." Check out the tweet here:

 

Earlier, Rohit Shetty had donated Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) in order to support the daily wage workers from the film industry in the wake of the national lockdown. Simmba actor Sonu Sood also had offered his hotel in the city for the healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses and the paramedical staff, for stay. On the work front, Rohit Shetty's film Sooryavanshi was about to release on March 24 but has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
