Coronavirus pandemic: 'We are in constant touch over video calls,' says Salim Khan on keeping up with son, Salman Khan

Salman Khan has been stationed in his Panvel farmhouse for three weeks now. After the lockdown was announced, the superstar of Bollywood packed his bags and travelled all the way to Panvel with his family members. However, his father Salim Khan decided to stay back in their Bandra apartment. Now, since it has been three weeks since the lockdown was declared to contain the spread of coronavirus, Salman is dearly missing his father and is quite scared because his dad is alone at their Bandra apartment. Recently, the actor released a video with his nephew Nirvaan Khan and bared his heart out on keeping up with his daddy dearest in this time of crisis.

In the video, Salman Khan said, "We came here for a few days and now we're stuck. I have not seen my father for three weeks. We are here and he is alone at home." Days after Salman released a video, his father Salim Khan has now opened up on how he is keeping in touch with his son and other family members.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, he said, "Salman and Nirvaan can't come here, so they are in Panvel. When they can come, they will. There also, they are at home and we are in constant touch over video calls."

"This situation is unprecedented, no one was prepared for it. If someone is infected and comes in contact with others, they may get ill too. People are dying because of this virus, so, we must take all precautionary measures, like washing hands, avoiding shaking hands, and whatever else the authorities are advising to avoid catching an infection," he added.

Salim Khan also saw the message that his son gave in the video and agreed to the fact that this is not a time to give false bravado. "There is a disease, and people are dying since a vaccine is not available yet. What is dearest to you is your life, and that of your family and close ones. If something happens to one person, the whole family is impacted," he said.

Nevertheless, we hope for the well being of the entire Khan-Daan.
