Karan Johar has apologised for his posts showcasing privileges of celebrities during the lockdown

Karan Johar has been sharing a lot of videos of his cute family. He has been making videos of his kids, his mother and him on how they have been spending their lockdown period. He has titled these videos as #LockdownWithTheJohars and has shared so many cute videos of his kids. His kids have been giving their innocent opinion on their father and have been judging his dressing sense. These videos have taken the internet by storm and many Bollywood celebrities have been loving these cute videos. However, Karan Johar realised that he has been comfortable during this difficult time and enjoying it while there are millions who have been struggling each and every day. Recently, there has been a video that went viral called "Thank You Celebrities". This video subtly calls out celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres and Amanda Byrnes who have been treating the lockdown like a vacation in their mansions while people have been struggling during this time.

These people include a medical professional who is abused at work, a person who lost his job, another that had to live on the streets as his landlord evicted him, a person who lost his mother to the disease, and many others. This video has been shared by screenwriter Aniruddha Guha on Twitter. The caption read, "The only #Covid_19 video that matters, about the only people who matter: Celebrities. #ThankYouCelebrities". Karan Johar has been touched by this and guilty and wrote, "This hit me hard and I have realised many of my posts may have been insensitive to many...I apologise profusely and wish to add none of it was intentional and came from a place of sharing but clearly may have lacked emotional foresight ....am sorry!" However, many of his fans have come forward and said that they love the videos he makes of his cute babies and he has done nothing wrong in it. Some said that his videos are also spreading joy during this difficult time.
