Love Aaj Kal: Saif Ali Khan offered THIS piece of advice to daughter Sara Ali Khan after her film bombed at the box office

After tasting success with her two films - Simmba and Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan witnessed the box office debacle of her highly anticipated film, Love Aaj Kal. The actress was paired opposite Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan, however, their on-screen chemistry failed to impress the fans. People had high expectations from the Imtiaz Ali directorial, as he has delivered hits like Shahid Kapoor- Kareena Kapoor Khan's Jab We Met and Saif Ali Khan- Deepika Padukone's Love Aaj Kal. As compared to the first installment, Imtiaz's new version of Love Aaj Kal terribly bombed at the box office. And it must have been hard for Sara Ali Khan to cope up with failure, early on in her career. At the same time, it was not easy for Saif Ali Khan to help his daughter overcome Love Aaj Kal's failure.

Recently, when he was asked about his reaction to the criticism that Sara's Love Aaj Kal received, Saif told Film Companion, "I did message her and ask if she's alright. Of course, it's a romantic and nice fatherly notion (to hold your daughter's hand through hardships), but I don't think it's really needed. I think she's quite tough and smart and she gets it. And I told her, 'you have to go through this'."

The actor also mentioned that Sara Ali Khan has not specifically spoken about her film's failure to him yet. "She hasn't really talked about it. Parents want to help and they're there. It's really something you have to go through on your own... It's good to have that reality check, anyway. You don't want to be that kind of movie star who's never seen success and can't walk when it finally happens," he added.

Ups and downs are a part of Bollywood and we are sure Sara Ali Khan will get over this phase soon.
