Mera Bharat Mahaan: John Abraham's patriotic message amidst COVID-10 lockdown is inspiring

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the government of India extended the lockdown in the country to help flatten the curve. Bollywood celebrities, apart from donating funds to the government's relief aid, has been urging people to stay at home through video and picture messages that they have been sharing on their social handles. And we have John Abraham to join the celebrity bandwagon to help people keep calm during these trying times.

John Abraham had taken to his Instagram handle and shared a hard-hitting dialogue message thereby urging citizens to keep the faith and help flatten the curve by staying at home and taking necessary precautions. Titled Mera Bharat Mahaan, the poem rides high on patriotism. John urges people to keep calm and that the whole nation can overcome this pandemic. Sharing the video of the poem, John captioned the post saying, "#MeraBharatMahaan a poem of hope, courage, gratitude for India & the world #MeraBharatMahaan a poem of hope, courage, gratitude for India and the world... ???? #IndiaFightsCorona #StayHomeStaySafe." Filmmaker Milap Zaveri who has penned the poem opened up on the same while talking to Mid-Day. "I sent the poem to John and asked if he would like to recite it. He called immediately and said he was on board," the Marjaavaan director recalled John's reaction to the poem. He went on to reveal that it was John's idea to include Montagues of the city/country. "I told him we should run with a simple close-up shot [as he recites the poem]. John shot his portions on his phone, and it was a one-take video," he added revealing how they shot the video amidst lockdown.

Coronavirus has brought the whole world to a standstill. The numbers of patients who test positive have been growing at a substantial rate and continue to grow. Talking about the numbers in India, the country is inching closer to 20,000 with each passing day and it's horrifying to even think about the number of deaths. During these trying times, apart from John's Mera Bharat Mahaan, Salman Khan's Pyaar Karona, Varun Dhawan's rap spreading awareness about COVID-19, Kartik Aaryan's monologue urging people to stop being reckless has been a few instances that have helped people fight the panic within.
