Royal no more: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially step down as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have officially stepped down from the positions of the royal palace. They will be now living like a normal couple with their 10-month-old son, Archie. Prince Harry and Meghan made it official with an Instagram post and said, "As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile. What's most important right now is the health and well-being of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic. As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute."

Nearly about two years ago, Prince Harry married the love of his life and actress Meghan Markle in a royal ceremony. Also, the couple's office had earlier said in a statement that, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend the next few months focusing on their family and continuing to do what they can, safely and privately, to support and work with their pre-existing charitable commitments while developing their future non-profit organization."

In a final message to their 11 million followers on Instagram, the couple also mentioned,"While you may not see us here, the work continues. Thank you to this community - for the support, inspiration and shared commitment to the good in the world. You've been great! We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You've been great! Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another."

Harry and Meghan are no longer the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they stepped down from their duties today. It will be interesting to see which path they take ahead in their lives.
