Filmy Friday: From Akshay Kumar to Ajay Devgn – these stars have the most number of films awaiting release post lockdown

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the audience is missing the experience of enjoying heroism and entertainment in cinema halls. All movie-buffs are waiting for these times to get over so that they can happily watch their favourite superstars portray larger-than-life characters on celluloid. And while trade experts are hoping that theatres will open by September or October, we give you a list of superstars, who have the most number of films awaiting release post lockdown

Akshay Kumar - 6 films

The hit machine and Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, who generally has three to four release every year, has not one, not two, but six films in the pipeline, including Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif; Raghava Lawrence's Laxmmi Bomb (both films have been pushed due to the coronavirus crisis); Prithviraj, which is directed by Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi and marks the debut of Miss World Manushi Chillar; Sajid Nadiadwala's Bachchan Pandey; followed by Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, co-starring Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan and Nikkhil Advani's Bell Bottom.

Ajay Devgn - 5 films

The Singham of the entertainment industry, who delivered his biggest hit with his recently released 100th film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, has 5 films in the offing to entertain us. The list starts with Bhuj: The Pride Of India, in which he portrays the character of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik; followed by Amit Sharma's Maidaan; SS Rajamouli's RRR, also starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt; Neeraj Pandey's Chanakya and Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 5.

Vicky Kaushal - 4 films

After the blockbuster success of Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal has become one of the hottest properties in B-Town. The young star has four films under his belt Shoojit Sircar's Udham Singh, Meghna Gulzar's Manekshaw, Aditya Dhar's (Uri helmer) Ashwathama and Karan Johar's muti-starrer period drama, Takht (also featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar).

Alia Bhatt - 5 films

The young superstar, who impressed us with her acting mettle in films like Highway, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy and others, has five biggies under her kitty, including father Mahesh Bhatt's (making a comeback to direction after 21 years) Sadak 2 (also starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt), Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, SS Rajamouli's RRR, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Karan Johar's Takht.
