We all kind of knew that it will happen and it did. The nationwide lockdown in India has been extended till May 17. Being called Lockdown 3.0, some activities will be opened in this. Unlike the first two lockdowns, this time, PM Narendra Modi didn't address the nation about it. Anyway, the nation is divided into 3 zones red, orange and green, just like a signal. Green and orange zones can see almost all businesses reopening, while only essential operations will continue to operate in red zones. It can be noted that some activities are prohibited in all zones. Schools, colleges and other educational and training/coaching institutions will remain shut. Places of large public gatherings, such as cinema halls, malls, gymnasiums, sports complexes etc cannot resume operations.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus is still spreading rapidly in India. The tally of confirmed coronavirus cases is approaching 40,000. Out of the total cases, 12,296 are from Maharastra. A record 2,644 new cases detected in the last 24 hours. The death toll from Covid-19 has gone up to 1301. 83 deaths were reported on Sunday. We really hope the virus is contained soon.
